Nobu Chinese Restaurant to Open Hotel On the Las Vegas Strip!

The fabulously popular Chinese restaurant chain Nobu made famous by it's uber-famous clientele will be dipping it's toe into the hotel business by opening its first hotelhere in Las Vegas.

NOBU has partnered with Caesars Palace to take over one of it's towers.  180 rooms.  It will have a separate check in lobby as well with room service from the Nobu restaurant on property.

Las Vegas hotels are having to get creative in getting rid of hotel room inventory yet still reaping the benefit of having occupied rooms with none of the risk.

The first such endeavor was the Four Seasons Hotel ten years ago which occupies several floors at the Mandalay Bay Casino.

Many of the large casinos are now partnering with some worldwide hotel names in and effort to tap into their database of customers.  The newly opened Cosmopolitan hotel has an agreement with Marriot International to help fill rooms.  The Venetian recently came to an agreement with Intercontinental Hotel group for the same purpose.

The Las Vegas market, hard hit by the recession, is reinventing itself again.  An act of survival I'm certain but creative all the same.
